Pipeline stages

Who can use this? Anyone with access to Wrap works with the stages on the board. Creating and editing them takes a workspace admin.

Define your board's columns under Settings → Deal pipeline. Wrap keeps one pipeline per workspace: you cannot run two different sales processes side by side with separate stages.

What they look like

Give each stage a name and a colour, and order them with the arrows in the list. That order is the order of the board's columns, left to right.

The first time somebody opens the pipeline, Wrap creates six stages with their colours: Nuevo, Contactado, Propuesta, Negociación, Ganado and Perdido. Rename them all if your team uses other words.

Won and Lost

Close a deal by moving it to one of the two terminal stages:

• Won marks the deal won and closes it.
• Lost marks it lost, asks for the reason and closes it.

Your pipeline holds exactly one of each. Rename them and recolour them whenever you like; Wrap keeps them both for good, so you cannot delete them, archive them or strip them of their closing role.

Archive an ordinary stage to stop using it without deleting it: Wrap stops offering it, and you go on reading whatever passed through it.

Rules when editing

• Move the open deals before archiving their stage. Wrap refuses to archive a stage that still holds open deals.
• When you reorder, include every stage. Wrap rejects a partial ordering.
• Wrap does not archive Won or Lost.

The order changes what the report measures

Move a stage in the list and you change what the funnel report counts as conversion: Wrap computes conversion against the previous stage.

Reordering is not cosmetic: it changes the question the report answers.

Won and Lost close the deal wherever they sit in the list, so moving them does not change that.

How many stages to have

Stay at five or six columns: you read them at a glance, and twelve turn the board into a horizontal list nobody uses.

If you need more detail, use a custom field or a tag instead of a stage.
