Email

Forwarding a support mailbox into Wrap and replying from the inbox.

Answer the mail that reaches your support mailbox from Wrap's inbox. Wrap does not connect to your mailbox: it receives what you forward to it, and you decide what comes in.

How it works

Create an email channel and Wrap gives you a forwarding address unique to that channel, something like inbox+a1b2c3d4@..., on the Settings tab. Then set up a rule in your provider (Gmail, Outlook, Zoho, whichever you use) that sends mail from your customer-facing mailbox to that address.

Each forwarded email reaches the inbox as a conversation.

What you do not forward never leaves your mail.

Forwarding verification

Confirm the forward from the channel's Settings tab. If your provider asks for that confirmation before it activates the forward, the link or the code arrives in Wrap and you see it right there.

Replying

Reply in the inbox and your answer goes out from the channel, with your signature if you have it on. See Signature.

Blocked senders

Block an address from the Blocked senders tab and its mail stops arriving. A support mailbox receives a lot that is not customer service: automated notifications, newsletters, spam.

Note the reason for the block, search the list for an address, and unblock it whenever you want.

Suppressed addresses

Open Settings → Workspace to see which addresses Wrap stopped sending to. Blocking stops what comes in; suppressing stops what goes out.

Reason What it means
Hard bounce The mailbox does not exist.
Complaint The person marked your email as spam.

The difference between the two is not severity, it is scope:

  • A hard bounce applies platform-wide. That mailbox does not exist for anybody, so no workspace can lift it.
  • A complaint is yours. Somebody marking your mail as spam says nothing about what another workspace sends them, so it stops only you, and you lift it.

The list marks which ones you can release and which you cannot. Release the ones that are yours from there.

If you cannot see the suppressed emails, ask a workspace admin to reactivate the address.
