Broadcasts

Who can use this? Wrap admins, and members an admin has given the sending permission.

Send an approved WhatsApp template to many contacts at once, and only to people who gave marketing consent. That is a broadcast in Wrap.

The two steps

1. Content. Pick the channel and the approved template, and map its variables. Each variable takes either fixed text or a field from the contact: first name, last name, display name or phone. You will see the message as it will arrive.

2. Audience and send. Define who it reaches, review the reach and the cost, and send or schedule it.

The audience

Pick a saved view of contacts, or all contacts with consent. Build and inspect that list first, in the contacts list, where you can see exactly who you are about to write to, and only then send. See Saved views.

On top of that list, Wrap applies two rules nobody can switch off:

• The consent filter. Anyone who did not opt in is dropped. See Consent.
• The audience cap. It starts at 500 recipients, never goes past 1000 and you lower it as far as you like, so a badly built filter cannot reach your whole list.

Wrap tells you how many contacts actually qualified before the cap, as well as how many will receive the message.

Statuses

Follow a broadcast by its status, from building it to the end of the send.

While sending and afterwards you will see the counts: queued, sent, delivered, read and failed.

Automatic pauses

A broadcast pauses itself and tells you why:

• Credentials: the channel's WhatsApp keys stopped working. Save the channel again and sending resumes.
• Quality red: Meta asks you to pause marketing from that number. The broadcast retries on its own.
• Rate limited: Meta is throttling you. The broadcast resumes on its own.

If you delete the channel before the send, Wrap cancels the broadcast and says so.

What happens to replies

Each send creates its conversation, and it is born excluded: a broadcast to six hundred contacts does not fill the inbox with six hundred threads nobody wrote.

The moment somebody replies, their conversation surfaces in the inbox like any other, and there you see who answered. Reply from the inbox as you would on any other thread.

Who can send them

A broadcast reaches the whole audience at once and there is no way to recall it, so sending carries a permission of its own.

If you do not see Broadcasts, ask an admin in your workspace to give you that permission in the workspace settings.
