Contacts by source
Where new contacts come from, and how many of them opt into marketing.
See where your new contacts come from. Wrap counts the contacts created in the period and groups them by their source.
The sources
Pick the source by hand on a contact's record: manual, referral, phone, email,
web form, event, CSV import, WhatsApp, Instagram or other. Channels set their own
when they create a contact, sometimes with a detail (web form · contact). That
detail forms a group of its own, because Wrap groups by whatever tag each contact
carries and the list is not closed.
Contacts with no recorded source fall into a group of their own.
Wrap sets the source when the contact is created and never recomputes it.
The consent split
Compare, within each source, how many people opted into marketing and how many did not. It is the most useful reading in the report: a source that brings a lot of people and no permissions feeds no broadcasts.
What it is for
- Decide where to invest: which channel brings real contacts.
- Spot a broken form: if the web form stops contributing, you see it here before anywhere else.
- Understand why a broadcast audience came out smaller than expected.
