Reminders
When they fire, which channel, the workspace's automatic reminder, and the email you can turn on separately.
Add and change every calendar reminder inside its own event. Do not confuse it with Reminders, under Planning in the sidebar: there you schedule an alert to yourself about anything, in Pins, saved items and reminders.
Save the event and open it again to see its Reminders: an event shows them once it exists. Each reminder combines a moment and a channel:
- When: at time of event, or 5, 10, 15, 30 minutes, 1 hour or 1 day before.
- Channel: bell and push, bell only, or push only.
Use Add reminder to add one. It starts as Bell and push, on the first moment you have not used; the first on the list is At time of event. Each moment holds one reminder, and there are seven. Take one out with the × on its row, and use Save to commit the whole list.
Add your own on any event you are invited to, whether or not you are the organizer. They are yours alone: nobody else sees them, and you cannot set one for somebody else.
Every new event can start with one reminder for whoever creates it, and it arrives off. Turn it on in Workspace › Calendar, in the Reminders card, and choose the moment and the channel there. Whoever creates the event changes it or removes it afterwards, from the event itself.
If you do not see that card, ask a Swarm admin to turn the automatic reminder on.
When they arrive
Count on the reminder at its time or a few minutes later, never before. Past fifteen minutes late, Swarm does not send it.
A reminder belongs to the whole event. On a repeating event, the same reminder fires on every occurrence, and you cannot set one for a single date.
It does not fire on an occurrence you declined, nor on one you were taken off, whether off the whole event or off that date.
Emails
Turn on Reminder emails to also get an email when a reminder you set is about to come due. You will find it on Nest's Account page, and it arrives off. The email reaches you whether that reminder is set to bell only or push only.
