Files
Find any workspace file in one place, whether it came from a chat or a task.
Find any workspace file in one place. Files gathers everything somebody attaches to a message or a task, plus whatever you upload straight to the library. These are the same files that live in their chats and their tasks, seen another way, not copies in a separate folder.
The list
View the library as a grid or as a list, and download any file with one click. Each file shows its thumbnail or its type icon, the name, the size and the date.
Filter by:
- Type: images, documents, video, audio, archives, other.
- Where: anywhere, in chat, in a task, library.
Search by name and sort four ways: newest, oldest, name, or largest first.
Go to where it lives
Open a file's menu and choose View in chat or View on task to land back in the conversation or the task it came from. That makes the library more than a folder.
Open the file to see who uploaded it as well.
Uploading
Upload files straight into the library, attached to nothing. They stay available to the whole workspace.
Limits
Keep every upload inside two limits:
- 25 MB per file.
- 10 files per message.
If a file does not pass, Swarm tells you which one and why: too large, unsupported type, or too many. It names the file that failed instead of rejecting the whole upload in silence.
Swarm accepts images (including HEIC and AVIF), PDF and office documents, plain text, CSV and JSON, video, audio and ZIP archives. Executables stay out.
Deleting
Delete a file and it goes from wherever it is attached, not only from the list. Swarm reminds you of that in the confirmation before you delete.
