What Eel is

Sign in once and use five apps that share one account, one workspace and the same permissions.

Sign in once and work across every Eel app you have access to, with the same account, the same workspace and the same permissions. What you store in one app you cite from any other without copying it: a Wrap contact is the same contact seen from a Swarm task.

Eel is a suite, not one product with modules. Each app has its own address and owns its own data, and all of them rest on the same account and the same permissions.

What they share

Switch apps and you carry these five pieces with you:

Piece What it means in practice
Account You sign in once and reach every app you have access to.
Workspace The isolation unit. Everything you see belongs to the active workspace.
People and permissions Members, their roles and their app access are administered in one place.
Alerts One notification feed, even when the alert came from another app.
References A Wrap contact can be cited from a Swarm task, and the other way round.

What they do not share

Cite a Wrap contact from a Swarm task and you get a card with that contact's current status, never a copy. Each app owns its own data: contacts belong to Wrap, tasks to Swarm, invoices to Flow. None of them writes in another's house.

If you have no access to the cited record, the card tells you so instead of showing you the data. If somebody deleted it, the card tells you that too.

Where each thing lives

Open each piece of the platform at its own address:

  • eel.software is the public front page and this documentation.
  • auth.eel.software is where you sign in, accept an invitation and authorize an external app.
  • nest.eel.software, wrap.eel.software, swarm.eel.software, flow.eel.software and zap.eel.software are the five apps.

Inside an app, the address carries the workspace after the app's name: swarm.eel.software/w/verde-origen/tasks. See Workspaces.

Move from one app to another from the rail down the left edge, without signing in again, and you land in the same workspace. On a phone, open each app at its own address.
