Inviting people
Sending an invitation, adding someone who already has an account, and what happens if it is never accepted.
Add somebody to the workspace with their email address. If that address already has an Eel account, the person is in straight away. If it does not, an invitation goes out to them. You do not have to work out which one before you start.
Invitation by email
Open Invite, on Workspace → Members or on Workspace → Invites. Type the address, choose the workspace role, and tick the apps they will be able to open. The link goes out by email and expires after seven days.
Copy the link from the same dialog if you would rather send it yourself. If the email failed to send, Nest says so right there: the invitation exists either way, and sharing the link by hand works.
When they open it:
- If they have no account, they create one.
- They accept the invitation.
- They land in the workspace with the role and the access you ticked, no extra steps.
Follow the invitation meanwhile under Workspace → Invites, with the address, the role, the apps it grants and the date it expires.

Adding directly
Add on the spot anybody who already has an Eel account: the person is in the workspace that second, with the role and the apps you ticked. Nest confirms it right there, with no email sent.
When you already know the person has an account, use Add, beside Invite, and you go straight down that path.
Revoking
Revoke a pending invitation from the same list and confirm: the link sitting in their inbox stops working. An expired invitation stays in the list marked expired, and is equally dead.
Removing someone from the workspace
Remove someone from the member list. Nest enforces two rules on its own:
- You cannot remove the last owner.
- You cannot demote the last owner.

Removing a person does not delete what they wrote. Their messages, notes and tasks stay, still attributed to them.
